What is Birth control pill?
- The birth control pill (also known as "the pill") is a pill that contains hormones that prevent conception. Hormones are chemical matters that influence the functioning of a woman’s organs. Estrogen and progestin the hormones that every Pill contains. They control the functions of ovaries and the uterus.
How does Birth control pill work?

Woman may stop taking birth control pills for 7 days (that’s for 21 day pack) or she will take a pill without hormones for 7 days (that’s for 28 day pack). The period begins when a woman stops taking the pills with hormones. Some women prefer the second variant because it helps them to get used to taking birth control pills every day.
